It was not an uneventful trip home, but would you expect it?  Bahamas Air was a little late bout no big deal because we had 4 hrs in Orlando.  We checked in and gave our bags to Delta in Orlando and proceeded to kill time for the 4 hr wait. About 3:30 the flight to Atlanta had slipped from 4:30 to 5:30, not a good sign.  Then Ghada got an automated phone call from Delta that our flight from Atlanta to Ft Walton was canceled and they were rebooked for the next day (Sunday).  Tried to find a Delta customer service (even the phone type would have worked) but none to be found.  In the process we ended up on the outside of security so it would be hours to get back in to talk to someone.  Did talk to a Delta Ticket Agent that was directing traffic for the extremely long lines and he was no help, but he did tell us that if we drove home we would have to put a claim in at VPS for our bags.  So off to Avis for a Car, $32 and 6hr trip.  On the way Ghada called Delta, (They were experiencing long delays to talk to an agent, surprise) and canceled the three of them and then when attempting to rebook mine, (because I have a return trip) the cell phone went dead.  Got home and called Delta from the land line and after 30 min she could not get my ticket strait, so she said she would send me an email later.  Check my email today and I have 2 reservations to MIA in February, guess that is better than none.  So life goes on.

Time to go back to civilization.  It is O'dark thirty and we are awaiting the water taxi to start our trip home.  Four flights, 2 Bahamas' Air and 2 Delta.  Hope it goes better than the trip for the girls down here.  Next entry will be on or about 3 Feb when I return to start the trip home.

The weather was not too good. We stayed on the boat watching videos.

Afterward We went for a walk , we ended up in Georgetown (downtown). Jasmin took some pictures of  churches and goats. At 4pm, We visited our friends from New Zealand on their boat and had some chips and dip. Then we went to the Chat and Chill , we celebrated our last day there with our friends. I had a jar of hot sauce from the owner of chat and chill. Mosquitoes were everywhere. We are still itching . vacations are great We had  good time.

 Back to work and to school on Monday.

This morning we took cat fish to feed the fish. They did not  like it much .Then we went to the beach to collect sea shells. Girls had mud bath. The waves were too high Tiffany lost her favorite sun glasses at the beach. Chip went with his friend Steve for a Bahamian sail boat race. They came back late in the afternoon. Our visitors showed up at 4pm and left at 8:30pm we had great time. Paul and Sarah finished 3 bottles of yellow tail red wine. we are invited over at their boat Friday afternoon at 4pm.  

31 december

This morning on our way to town we visited our new friend Steve and gave him some coffee. We bought hamburger and hotdog buns from town. They were great! we then came back and cleaned the boat for the Trivia crew, who are coming tomorrow for wine, cheese, and beer. The girls and I had swam 3 times to Chat 'N' Chill beach. the water was cold but very refreshing. Afterward we picked up Antonio, whom we met at Chat 'n' Chill, at the dingy dock. He took us on a lobster hunt. We caught 4 lobsters and found a conch. Unfortunately, he said that we were unable to eat the conch tonight, but when we came back to the boat, Chip barbequed the lobsters and we had a great dinner.

 

30 Dec

we went snorkeling today. it was beautiful. Dennis camera's case worked like a charm. I need to buy one too. Allen, new friend of Paul and chip came for a visit and fixed his computer. Paul is well known here to be the smartest one in  computers. Chip went fishing with two other men; Steve and John, but they did not catch any. No dinner for Chip tonight. We went to chat and chill , watched the stingray and we went on a walk at the beach looking for dollar sands. we found 3 of them.  We had conch salad for $10.00 we watch the guy Mike fixing it. I recorded a movie.we stayed up until 8pm around the fire. weather was outstanding

we went to the sound took some pictures and collected some sea shells. then we went to chat and chill and played basketball

 

28 December

We arrived after much frustration and a day later at George town. we were greeted by taxi #12 we took Elvis water taxi #56.Paul and Chip helped us with the suitcases. went to chat and chill, then we came back to have dinner and opened Paul's gifts. We had a good night sleep.
